Daily itinerary
Times are approximate and may shift slightly with weather, tide, and group pace. The order of activities stays the same.
- 08:15 – 08:30
Hotel pickup & transfer to Beo Harbour
We pick you up from your hotel in Cat Ba town and drive you down to Beo Harbour, where the boat is waiting.
- 08:30 – 09:30
Depart & cruise past Floating Fishing Village
Set sail and slow-cruise past the Floating Fishing Village, admiring iconic limestone islets along the way — including the famous Turtle, Toad, and Candle Islets shaped by wind and water over thousands of years.
- 10:00 – 10:45
Swimming & snorkeling at Ba Trai Dao Beaches
We anchor at Ba Trai Dao Beaches for swimming and snorkeling in crystal-clear waters. Confident swimmers can take a thrilling jump straight from the boat.
- 11:00 – 12:30
Kayaking & cave exploration
Time to get on the water. We paddle through Bright Cave, Dark Cave, and Bat Cave — three natural rock tunnels that open into hidden lagoons. Keep an eye on the cliffs: this is one of the few spots where the rare Cat Ba Langur is still occasionally seen.
- 12:30 – 13:30
Seafood lunch onboard
Savor a full Vietnamese seafood lunch while relaxing on the cruise — set menu with squid rolls, spring rolls, stir-fried mains, rice, and fresh fruit.
- 14:00 – 14:30
Visit a Floating Fish Farm
Stop at a working floating fish farm to learn about local aquaculture — see how the families farm grouper, sea bass, and unique reef species in the bay's natural pens.
- 14:30 – 15:30
Thap Nghieng Beach or Monkey Island
Pick your favourite ending: a quiet swim at Thap Nghieng Beach, or a stop at Monkey Island to watch the playful macaques in their natural habitat.
- 15:30 – 16:30
Sunset Party in Lan Ha Bay
Cruise back into the bay for the sunset. Enjoy tea, fresh fruits, and drinks on deck while admiring the breathtaking colours over the karsts. The boat then heads back to Beo Harbour, marking the end of the journey.
- 17:00 – 17:30
Drop-off at hotel
The tour guide escorts you back to your hotel. End of itinerary. (Note: itinerary is flexible and may change depending on weather conditions.)
