Reviews can reveal practical questions to ask, but they describe another traveller's booking and date. A positive experience does not confirm that the same room, guide, route or activity is available for your trip.
Extract questions instead of promises
If a review praises a balcony, check whether it belongs to the cabin category you are considering. If it mentions kayak fishing, ask whether that setup can be confirmed for your departure. If it describes night kayaking, compare its date with the current operating notice.
Check the correct listing
Similar business names can lead to unrelated reviews. For Duck Stop in particular, distinguish the Cat Ba farm attraction from Phong Nha and hotel results. A large number of accommodation reviews does not verify a farm visiting session.

Use the operator's current description and written confirmation to resolve the important details. Avoid repeating an individual review as proof of a guaranteed natural sighting or safety standard. Reviews are most useful when they help you notice what matters to your own comfort, then ask a precise question before booking.
