An attractive tour name can hide several different expectations. Before paying for anything described as a plankton experience, establish what is actually being sold and whether it is currently operating. Do this before arranging your evening transport.
Ask for a precise description
Request the activity name, departure date, boarding place, included transport and return arrangement. Ask whether guests remain aboard a vessel or enter the water. A generic “night on the bay” answer is not enough to confirm kayaking, swimming or any particular natural observation.
Check the promise behind the picture
Ask whether the images show the exact product and whether sightings are guaranteed. Do not treat an impressive photograph as an operating notice. Keep the written response, particularly if a third-party listing uses a different name from the operator's own page.

Cat Ba Outdoors currently does not accept standalone plankton trips or night kayaking bookings. Overnight cruises are an exception in operating status, but do not imply night kayaking or guaranteed plankton sightings. If an online listing conflicts with this, ask for clarification rather than paying first. A daytime kayak trip or a confirmed overnight stay can provide a clearer, independently worthwhile alternative.
